The Micromite Explore-40 by Tim Blythman
6
A wealth of software has been written for the Micromite in BASIC. This compact
Explore-40 board is a Micromite in the same form factor as the popular Pico boards,
allowing a Micromite to be used with hardware designed for the Pico.

8-Channel Learning IR Remote Receiver by John Clarke
This eight-channel relay board can be controlled by universal remotes. Each output can
be set to toggle on or off, switched on for a fixed period, or on while the button is held
down. It also supports external relays, to handle higher currents or voltages.

FlexiDice by Tim Blythman
We’ve published several dice projects over the years but all have been traditional sixsided affairs. Other types of dice are used for various games and activities; this dice
project can emulate dice with up to 100 faces, coin tossing and other random events.

180-230V DC Motor Speed Controller, part two by John Clarke
Our new High-voltage DC Motor Speed Controller, revealed last month, can control
motors commonly used in lathes and treadmills, from stopped up to full speed. This
article covers the assembly, testing and setup of the Speed Controller.

Techno Talk by Max The Magnificent
Over the past few months, I’ve been introduced to a smorgasbord of pseudo-intelligence
(PI) enabled tools and technologies, some of which I’d like to share with you.
MIPI I3C by Andrew Levido

For many years, I²C has been the best solution for low-data-rate control signalling,
and SPI for higher data rates. The new I3C standard combines the best of both.

Precision Electronics, part eight by Andrew Levido
72
Last month, we looked at sampling and aliasing in DACs (digital-to-analog
converters) and ADCs (analog-to-digital converters). Now we will describe how
voltage references work, as they are critical to the precision of both ADCs and DACs.
