Firmware (ASM and HEX) files for the White Noise Source and Steam Train Whistle/Diesel Horn [0910618A/M.HEX]
HEX file and ASM source code for the 8-bit PIC12F617-I/P microcontrollers in the Steam Train Whistle/Diesel Horn project.
This includes the White Noise Generator (0910618A.HEX/ASM) and the Whistle/Horn sound effects chip (0910618M.HEX/ASM).
The same White Noise Generator software (0910618A) can also be used for the Tinnitus/Insomnia Killer project from the November 2018 issue, which is listed as 0111018A, an alternative name for this same software.

Tinnitus/Insomnia Killer PCB (Jaycar version, manufacturing fault) [01110181]
PCB for the Tinnitus and Insomnia Killer project. Made to fit into the Jaycar case. These PCBs were printed with exposed copper. They will still work with the Tinnitus/Insomnia Killer project, but have some tracks partly exposed, which could lead to shorts if soldered incorrectly. Therefore this PCBs will be sold at a reduced price.
A bit of aerosol conformal coating or a solder mask touch up pen can be used to protect the exposed pads.
Double-sided PCB with plated through holes, solder mask and silkscreen overlay.

PIC12F617-I/P programmed for the White Noise Generator [0910618A.HEX]
A PIC12F617-I/P 8-bit microcontroller programmed with the firmware for the White Noise Source, as used in the Steam Train Whistle/Diesel Horn project (0910618A.HEX).
This PIC is also suitable for the Tinnitus/Insomnia Killer project from the November 2018 issue.

Tinnitus/Insomnia Killer PCB patterns (PDF download) [01110181/2]
Two PDFs with the PCB designs for the Insomnia and Tinnitus Killer (double-sided).
Each PDF has the design for one of the two versions. The version designed to fit into the Jaycar handheld case is coded 01110181 while the version for the Altronics case is coded 01110182.
In each case, both layers are in a single PDF.

Hard-to-get parts for the Tinnitus/Insomnia Killer
Two of the harder to get parts for the Insomnia and Tinnitus Killer project.
You get one LF50CV regulator in a through-hole TO-220 package and one LM4865MX audio amplifier IC in a surface-mounting SOIC 8-pin package.
You will also need to purchase the appropriate PCB to suit the case that you plan to use.
The remaining parts are available from Jaycar and/or Altronics - see the parts list in the November 2018 article.
