SILICON CHIP does not sell PC boards, front panels or components for projects published in the magazine. Project information and PC artwork is made available to several PC manufacturers and kit suppliers but it is their decision as to whether or not they will stock the board or kit up for the project.

If you find it difficult to get a PC board for a SILICON CHIP project, RCS Radio in Sydney (02 9738 0330) can supply any board for any project (so long as it is not a contributed project where the author has retained copyright). For that matter, RCS can also also supply PC boards from EA, ET, ETI and AEM.

If you want to produce your own boards or panel, as a service to readers we now offer artwork for PC boards and front panels published in SILICON CHIP, except where the copyright has been retained by the author or contributor. PC Boards are available from December 1998 to the issue currently on the news-stands. Until further notice, these copyright patterns may be downloaded free-of-charge for individual (ie, one-off hobbyist) use.

For information on how to make your own PC boards at home using this artwork, refer to the articles in the February and March 2001 issues of SILICON CHIP.

Multiple and commercial users of these artworks should contact the publisher for conditions of use.

These panels and PC boards are usually available here in either Encapsulated PostScript (EPS), zipped using Winzip, or in Adobe Acrobat PDF format and should print perfectly on a laser or inkjet printer. Again, refer to the articles mentioned above.

If you have the option, set your laser or inkjet printer to a resolution of 300dpi or higher and the graphics set to fine and raster graphics.

If you don't have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here to download from the Adobe website (free of charge).

PCB Manufacturers: Most board patterns are also available on request in Autotrax PCB format, zipped using PKZIPW, except where the project has been contributed and the PCB artwork prepared in non-Autotrax format.. Front panels are normally in EPS or Adobe PDF format. Other formats may be available on request including Corel Draw (CDR), in which most front panels are prepared.
